Finally, after a full summer with my well tuned QAV250 class racing drone, I’ve been able to put together an awesome compilation video of clips I’ve gotten over the summer! Check it out!
Bigger is not always better.
Especially when trying to get off the ground, weight is a serious issue. Sure its nice to have sturdy landing gear and a big battery, but overall it’ll hurt performance. Because of this, I decided to perform a little weight reduction surgery.
Additionally I’ve upgraded my propellers from 5040 triple props to 6040 triple props. Adding an extra inch to my blades has definitely increased performance drasticially.
All this plus I re-calibrated my ESC’s max thrust to the maximum suggested rating as well as re calibrated my controller endpoints to ensure that I can get the maximum performance out of my hardware if needed.
All said and done, the birds flying like never before!
A cleaned up and shortened Powerpoint version of my drone build tutorial I did in a previous post. Was a collaboration with the DCC SHPE club. This presentation was for a live presentation with discussion and Q&A session on building your own drone.
Damn it’s getting nice out!
Glad to be going into the season with a good stable, reliable and repaired drone. This summer I’m hoping to actually get some good practice in. Since I spent last summer building the thing, most of the time I’ve flown since then was test runs & calibrations. Finally ready to learn how to fly!
Got my hands on one of the new InductrixFPV micro quadcopters, and I’ve been having a blast with it ever since!
After just a little bit of practice I can easily manuver around tighter courses than I could have ever imagined! Very stable for a small quadcopter!
Blade covers and tiny size allow for flying in small spaces with ease. This is a good indoor drone for sure, but winds can cause an uneasy ride outside.
Though light in the breeze and fragile in design, this is a must have for any FPV enthusiast who wants to practice or play in small spaces!
- $90.00 (drone).
- $25.00 (controller).
- $60.00 (homemade headset).
- Value: 9/10.
- Enjoyment: 10/10.
- Durability: 5/10.
- Difficulty: 6/10.
- Setup config: 8/10.
If you fly FPV and want something a little less aggressive to practice with, and fly indoors, the InductrixFPV is a must have!
